The Poon Hill Trek stands as Nepal's most accessible yet rewarding mountain adventure, delivering authentic Himalayan experiences in just nine days. Perfect for first-time trekkers, this captivating journey showcases the best of the Annapurna region while immersing you in traditional Gurung culture and some of the world's most spectacular sunrise views.

Your adventure flows from Kathmandu's bustling heritage sites to tranquil Pokhara, where mountain reflections dance across Phewa Lake's surface. The actual trekking begins at Birethanti (1,039m), climbing ancient stone paths to the terraced village of Ulleri (2,020m). Your route ascends through vibrant rhododendron forests to reach Ghorepani (2,810m), the launching point for your pre-dawn ascent to the legendary Poon Hill (3,210m). Here you'll witness one of Nepal's most celebrated sunrises as golden light ignites the peaks of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Machhapuchhre in brilliant display. The trek continues through peaceful mountain forests to Tadapani (2,610m) before descending to the culturally vibrant village of Ghandruk (1,940m), famous for its traditional stone architecture and panoramic mountain vistas. Your mountain journey concludes with a descent to Kilu (1,200m) and comfortable return to Pokhara.

This remarkable trek offers transformative moments that capture Nepal's soul: standing atop Poon Hill as dawn transforms snowy summits into golden masterpieces, wandering through forests where rhododendrons bloom in springtime splendor, and sharing stories with welcoming Gurung families in their ancestral villages. You'll depart with cherished memories of mountain sunrises, forest serenity, and the genuine warmth that makes Nepal's mountain communities so special.

This moderate challenge is also ideal for raising donations for a charity of your choice.
