The Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the most diverse trekking holidays in Nepal. Your trek begins in Besishar 760m and over 17 days of walking you will discover many beautiful peaks such as Annapurna I, II, III, IV and South, Machhapuchre 6997m, Nilgiri 6941m, Tukuche Peak 6920m and Dhaulagiri 8167m. You will also pass through Kali Gandaki the deepest gorge in Nepal and many small Hindu, Buddhist and Tibetan communities. In Muktinath, Pisang, Manang and Kagbeni you will have the opportunity to visit these interesting monasteries and temples. During your second week of trekking you will go over the Thorung La pass 5416m, which is the world's largest pass with stunning views of Thorung Peak 6201m and the surrounding snow capped peaks. On your remaining descent you can wander round the interesting back streets of Marpha and visit the brandy distillery or bathe in the hot springs at Tatopani. Finally an early morning trek up to Poon Hill from Ghorepani provides an unforgetable sunrise panorama of Annapurna South 7219m, Macchapuchre, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli 6441m, Tarke Kang 7193m. After your long trek you will spend a few days sightseeing and relaxing at the lakeside of Pokhara. You can take a boat on the river, visit the World Peace Pagoda or browse around the many curio shops.
