why choose TMT
TMT trips are different because we put you first. I think about you individually, what you want and what will suit you best. I offer a quality experience which does not cut corners. Integrity is extremely important to us. I love what I do and want your experience to be equally memorable and nourishing. You will be:

1) Safe: You will always trek with a qualified, experienced International Mountain Leader (BAIML/UIMLA) or Alpine Guide (UIAGM). We are assessed at a very high standard, set by Mountain Leader Training UK. I have up-to-date first aid training too.

2) Given individual attention: I lead small groups of only up to 12 maximum, so I have time for everyone and can give you the attention you deserve. No herding!

3) Listened to: I want to know what you think and will keep on asking you how you questions, until I've designed something absolutely right for you.

4) On a trek specifically according to your needs and ability: I design a trek that you are capable of, will find interesting and enjoy.

5) Led by someone with long experience in the outdoor industry: I already have long experience in the outdoors, as well as experience in the areas where you will trek or have your expedition.

6) Benefitting from expert local knowledge: I will try to make your trek as interesting as possible by passing on our knowledge about flora and fauna, environment, local history or any other special interests you might have.

7) Able to relax and enjoy your time: It's your trek. I want you to take photos and enjoy the scenery. I also want you to ask questions about the environment and learn something from your experience. I believe that mountain trekking should not be a race to the top and then a race back down again! So no "rush," pressure or competing to keep up!

8) On new, fresh routes as often as possible: I thrive on adventure and new journeys. I want you to do something different and special. I also want to gain new experiences in the places I love. So I have some set itineraries but I also look to design new treks around you, each time. This avoids over-exposure of any one natural environment, also protecting it ecologically.

9) Supporting ethical professionalism: Despite a minimum of 5 years' intensive training and assessment, most tour operators pay their International Mountain Leaders or Alpine Guides poorly. When I employ extra staff I remunerate them well and to the professional level they deserve. Most importantly, I am committed to professional development and enjoyment at work.
