Please be prepared! We will listen to you and ask you lots of questions about what you would like. Simply let your imagination run wild or have a look at previous TMT treks and itinerary pages for some ideas. Think about:1) What is your total budget? Per adult or child?
2) What size & ages are your party? How many? Adults 18-60yrs, children 5-10yrs, seniors aged 60+, young adults 10-18yrs?
3) When & for how long? Departure dates? How flexible are these dates? Duration of holiday?
4) Where? For the 2010 season we are able to arrange Tailor Made Trekking holidays in: the Lake District, the Peak District, Wales, Scotland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Nepal, Tanzania, Peru and on the Great Wall of China. Please let us know your preferred country and trek name if already known. It is possible to trek in more than one country during your holiday.
5) Special interests? Drawing & painting, photography, wine tasting, local cuisine, flora and fauna, bird watching, geology, lakes, waterfalls, local history, mountaineering history, multi/adrenaline activities. This list is not exhaustive, if your special interest is not listed please let us know!
6) Interested in personal and social development? While you are trekking our leaders are very happy to facilitate activities to draw out certain qualities within the group members. We can help you with leadership and teamwork issues by running ice breakers and problem solving initiatives.
7) Previous trekking experience? In order to design the right trek for you, we will ask you a little bit about the exercise that you take on a weekly basis. For example, gym membership, exercise classes, swimming, running, hiking, cycling. It is also very helpful for us to know about the treks you have been on in the last 10 years. Where were they? UK or International? For how many days? How strenuous did you find them?
8) How many actual trekking days? Let us know how many days of trekking in a row you think you can manage and when you would like your rest or sightseeing days.
9) What level of technicality or exercise? Low level? Medium? Strenuous? Strenuous + Altitude? Low level = undulating terrain, below 2000m, 10-15km distance. Medium = ascents & descents of up to 500m, below 3000m elevation, 10-15km distance. Strenuous = ascents & descents of 600-1200m, under 3000m elevation, 10-20km distance. Strenuous + Altitude = ascents & descents of up to 1200m, above 3000m elevation, 10-20km distance.
10) Kind of accommodation? There are hotels star rated 1-5, gites, dormitories, pensions, mountain huts or teahouses. You can stay in one accommodation for your whole holiday and go on day walks or you can walk from valley to valley, or over the high passes from mountain hut-to-hut. In the UK we can arrange accommodation in youth hostels or bunk houses for your group. We can also arrange a combination for you.
11) Transport requirements? For flights, we will refer you to our preferred travel agent. Transfers to and from airport to holiday accommodation are available. Luggage transfers for multi-accommodation holidays can also be arranged.

13) Any medical conditions? Please let us know if anyone in your party has a medical condition which may affect them whilst on their Tailor Made Trekking holiday or expedition.
