Everest Base Camp, Nepal

We were extremely lucky with the views on this trek and we had frosty mornings but brilliant blue skies. Right from the start we were able to see stunning views of Thamserku, Kwangde and Kusum Kangru and then Everest, Pumori, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We also visited Tengboche monastery en route, where the monks were having a festival and we were able to join in with their worship. All of our group got to Gorak Shep, the old expedition base camp of Sir Edmund Hillary ...

Although trekking over the Thorung La pass was a challenge we all felt greatly rewarded after all of our efforts by the peaceful surroundings. On the west side of the circuit we visited many interesting villag ...

Everest Base Camp Trek, Nepal

Our group found this trek a real challenge, however the whole group made it to Everest Base Camp. Although it was cloudy for the first few days eventually we saw the beautiful sights of 8000m peaks such as Everest, Pumori, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We also visited Tengboche monastery en route, which is the biggest monastery in Nepal. Half of our group decided that they also wanted to trek up Kallapattar for sunrise. From here we had amazing views of Everest and its surrounding peaks ...
