This trek is definitely not for those with a fear of vertigo! However this is by far one of the best routes for the summit of Snowdon, highest Welsh summit. We started at Pen y Pass and made our way along the knife edge ridge, Crib Gogh. Not long after we had passed the railway top station we were all standing triumphantly at the summit! Milford Track, New Zealand

New Zealand is the home of Smeegle and Trixie Hobbitsies and whilst we were trekking along the Milford Track our imaginations were able to run wild! It took us 4 days to complete the 53km track starting at Glade Wharf, Te Anau and ending Sandfly Point, Milford Sound and we crossed a total of 9 suspension bridges during this time! Day 2 took us over the infamous Mackinnon Pass and on day 4 we took a worth while side trip to Sutherland Falls.

Kepler Track, New Zealand

The Kepler track provided us with a nice range of walking environments. Tree ferns, beech forest, sandy beaches, limestone bluffs and caves. We were also fortunate enough to spot a rare Morepork owl towards the end of our trek. The trekking route was a circular 67km over 4 days starting and finishing at Lake Te Anau control gates.

Routeburn Track, New Zealand

The Routeburn Track was a relatively short trek of 32 km over 3 days, giving us plenty of time to take in the magnificent flora and fauna. This route crosses both the Mt Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks in South Island, via Harris Saddle. We journeyed through, thick rainforest, tussocked meadows and alpine heights. The views were unforgettable as were the high standards of the mountain huts within the parks.
