Sudbury to Bures

Our walk started at a carpark in Sudbury and as soon as we stepped out of the car it started to snow! The walk had been organised by the Cambridge Walking Club. We were not deterred by the snow and started our walk along the old railway line. Crossing a meadow and then through some housing estates until we found the Stour Valley pathway. Fortunately there were some very willing army guys here who helped push the cars up the hill!

I started my quiet ascent up Cefn Cwm Llwch. It was not long before I was ov ...

Chedworth Woods & the Cotswold Hills

From the car park my walk followed the river in an easterly direction. then I made my way up to the charming Cotswold village of Yanworth.

From Yanworth I found the public bridleway taking me over the Cotswolds Hills. Only 200 metres above sea level but it was quite chilly up here!

After stoppi ...
