Castle Tioram on Loch Moidart

We began this tour with a ferry crossing from Oban to the Island of Mull and stayed at Craignure for 2 nights enabling us to visit Torosay or Duart castle or go for a longer walk on the ridge overlooking both the coast line of Mull and the mainland. Our next ferry took us to the Island of Iona where St Columba sailed to in 500AD to write the Book of Kells in the very impressive abbey. Tobermory provided us with a harbour of brightly coloured houses where the children's programme Balamory is set and also a whisky tour for adults. There were also bright colours surounding Castle Tioram, from the heather and vegetation at Loch Moidart. Our journey took us up to Loch Morar where we took a trek from Strathan to Glenfinnan, home of the Harry Potter bridge where they encounter the Dementors! The following day  we took a pathway from Glenbrittle to Sligachan Loch on the Isle of Skye and had beautifyl views of the mighty Cullin mountain range. Our final day was a bus journey from small harbour town Mallaig to Glasgow via Glencoe and Inveraray Castle.
